Ghost of My Smile

So many nights I sat awake watching him sleep and dream away still I stop to wonder  did he ever notice  the shadow of my cheekbone  the ghost of my smile? Sitting in my room now alone moonlight drenches my face like it used to and I stop to wonder does he even remember  the shadow of our yesterday the ghost of my smile?

Additional Notes:
A simple piece I wrote what seems like an eternity ago, about a lost first love.
