Asleep In Angel Wings

As her soft little eyes begin to fade     and she drifts gently into sleep         I wonder what my baby sees This tiny child that we have made     could it be          was born with memories Memories of a place      so warm and safe          cradled in an angel's wings As she lays, with peace on her face      a mother's prayer for her life           are these special things I pray the peace on her face lives in her heart      and she will remember always            how very much she is loved I thank God He let the angel part       with the gift cradled in it's wings            and sent her to us from above I pray each and every time        her precious eyes start to drift             that her angel she will see And I pray each and every time       the angel will again let go of it's gift             and send her back to me So sleep sleep little one       and be comforted to know           you are loved in heaven and on earth And wake wake little one       and be comforted to know            you are loved in heaven and on earth
