Waning Moon

The leaves paint feathers against a pewter sky illuminated solely by a slivered man shrouded in black cloud of mourning He sees, and he weeps icy shards of tear spent in rage and sorrow He is witness to all for even the night cannot hide the treacherous callous upon his Mother, the Earth The rape of her forests The pillage of her seas The haze which often hides her treasure from his vigilance  caused by scab upon her crust What he does see is The hungry where once was feast The homeless where once was refuge The helpless where once was strength and he moans desperation For with all his magnificence his magic, his wisdom in things of love He is naught Just a blue           blue              moon
