Pelicans

At sunset the pelicans fly down the beach in a straight arrow formation dipping and rising. The perfect symmetry becomes a display of the balance of nature skimming the tide. Their silent cooperation and the heart of intent provides the need to bond them as a flock. The skillful yet effortless flight of the innocent feathered creatures with pouchy beaks is unimposing. Gliding, weaving the thermals to form a foundation for lofty flight, they soar and dive, scooping up prey. Rising victorious, the evening migration proceeds without an interlude in this wonderous diversion. Circling wide, webbed feet touchdown in a synchronous splash.
