Miss Tootie "Miss Tootie" When you were just a very little girl The cutest little 'Tootie' in the world. Your eyes so blue, of which I'm fond A beautiful little strawberry blonde. You weighed in at seven point four Nineteen inches long, not a tenth more. I gave you the name Jennifer Lynnette A pretty little name I'll never regret. It suits you perfectly, being so small Most people don't spell it right at all. Your Mamaw thought you were swell She called you 'Tootie', I thought oh well! That is where your nickname came from Not from your dad or not from your mom. Mamaw thought you were the grandest one Loved you so dear, but now she's gone. You knew your Papaw very well too He wasn't as crazy as she, about you. A heart breaker when she passed on A great little lady from dawn to dawn. I thought you'd enjoy, memories of Mabel She loved you to visit when she was able. You loved her with all your heart I know it was hard when you had to part. She was your dad's mom, sweet and kind Every year in March she comes to mind. If you remember I thought well of her too When she left this world I hope she knew. August 12, 2000 |
Additional Notes:
In memory of Lynnette's Grandmother. Whom she misses dearly. Speaking of dawn to dawn, she was a great person
all the time.
