No Stranger

In a room full of strangers You were no stranger. When I looked up And saw you standing There, smiling, I knew Something special was To begin.  Your name I didn't have, yet it Felt like I've known You, Forever. As the night progressed Friends, we became; The Best. Friends, we would stay into Tomorrow.  As that week went by Not a moment passed when  I did not enjoy time spent With You.  Departing was So bittersweet.  You gave me The biggest hug one could Receive.  Our tears did fall In unison.  Our hearts did beat For each other.  That moment Did last forever.  As The years passed we Matured together.  Through  The good and the bad. The cards we've sent, the Words we've shared. The optimism doesn't fray. There were the days we dined, That evening I fell, That night we danced, All memories burned into me, Like pictures in film. And now, as days Fly, ages seem to rise, Yet closer they become. I sit hour by hour, Sometimes in monotony, sometimes Not, always glancing to my left, To see you smiling in a frame. I wonder to myself:  Where is she? How is she?  What is she Thinking?  Always hoping There is a smile to match the Picture.  Because, in this World full of strangers You are no stranger.
