Spring Shower

I want to write a poem During a spring shower I rush to my favorite spot And listen to each rain drop sing As the rain falls heavily to the ground The earth cools There is dampness all around Steam is rising from the streets Watching the rain fall It reminds me of a painter Each rain drop making nature brighter The grass stands a little taller As it takes a drink The bark on the trees Show its veins The green foliage stands Brightly against a gray horizon Trees do a slight wiggle As they enjoy their shower A string of Blackbirds Fluff their wings Across a telephone wire and sing Thunder roars Lightning cracks The sun peeks its way through A patchwork sky Showing gray, white and blue I see a true beauty unfold As the trickling rain drops Jumping from my roof Change into crystals As the sun radiates their hue Oh, what a marvelous view When the sun shines completely through The wetness reflecting the sun's rays Brighten the earth in a beautiful way There is peacefulness When the shower is gone Thunder rumbles from a distance Little droplets of diamonds Appear on leaves What a wonderful spring day!
