BOOBOO KITTY

No kitty for me I have a dog Ok, I'll take that one He won't live long. You lay so still I know you will die A newborn kitty No way to survive. Give me a call If kitty wakes up A step on the head No way to develop. I don't want a cat A dog is enough Poor little kitty Life started so rough. The telephone rings I answer the call Come get your kitty He's alive after all. I bring you home And you fit right in Play with the dog Is where you begin. I notice your paws Six toes on all Strange little kitty So soft and small. We call you Boots For your four white paws Should be BooBoo Because of the flaws. Though stepped on at birth You are so smart Funny little thing You've grown in my heart. Eighteen years A long time to live Cancer consumes you There's no more to give. You lay on my lap As I bid you goodbye Tender strokes of love With tears in my eyes. My companion, my friend You've been to me I'll always remember My booboo kitty.
