Speechless I can't believe I'm at a loss for words And as it happens-so are you You couldn't say why you said it How could you not know what I'd do? How could I not feel the pain from your words? How could you not know that they'd sting? Did you say it so coldly to make me feel low? Did my tears make you feel like a king? In my head I know that I can forgive you, It's too soon, though, to speak for my heart. I must believe I can give it so freely again Not the whole thing, but maybe some part. |
