I Imagine Love

I imagine love's arms lifting me above the sky. I drown in mischief and surrender in your sea. I travel upon a ship of dreams and your starry eyes distract my slumber. I taste the sweet honeysuckle growing in a valley of beauty, tainted by sorrow. My cup is full of salty tears as you laugh and drink wine. I unexpectedly penetrate the spider web Of your intentions and unveil your trickery and deception. I desire a dedicated lover to embrace the crust, soot, and dust That lay in the cracks of my being. I begin to purify my intentions  And cleanse my dignity with rain. I move swiftly toward tomorrow and turn my back on yesterday.
