Virginia

Mother nature chose beauty, When creating the scene. Then gave birth to Virginia, Her own private dream. The love in her labor,  So proudly displayed. Then, with God's loving hand, Was Virginia's ground laid. From the foothills of the mountains, Through the quaint little towns. To the sun-kissed beaches, Where the ocean waves pound. In springtime you will witness, The awakening sound. Of abundantm May flowers, As they spring from the ground. The trees break out with blossoms, Under the warmth of the sun. Providing shelter and food, For wildlife and their young. To be born a Virginian,  Is an honor by birth. May we never lose sight, Of what her rare beauty's worth.
