Black

To ride down a road and see flowers What color would you say they might be If you saw what was inside those flowers What do you think you might see The road has bumps and holes Some are bigger and some small Each bump gives a jolt or jerk Somehow each will take its toll The bump of love takes away red The hole of death takes away white The bump of hidden dreams takes away blue And the hole of life takes away green Now to ride down the road and see flowers What color would you say they might be You could ponder and think for hours But the color black is all you see

Additional Notes:
I have a problem of writing a poem, just started this, and looking at it knowing it needs changing but not doing so. I am not sure where this one came from and hopefully they get a little brighter next week.
