In Defense of Poetry

This play with words to some might seem extreme. For that dull portion of humanity Some great words I'll mutilate and blaspheme: "Extremism in defense of sanity Is no vice and caution is no virtue When with lunacy and madness we are faced." To critics who just simply misconstrue The meaning of the words before them placed, What can I say but, perhaps, "Learn to read", Or "One good dictionary please acquire."? These dullards and critics still spreading seed Should against Darwin evangelists inspire. And those, while not reading, who scoff and laugh, To them I just say "I'll piss in your carafe"!

Additional Notes:
My answer to bad critics and dullards of all sorts (Yourselves, of course, excluded!) and a mild warning to those who have never considered the effects of seriously angering someone involved in serving them food or drink. (I was once involved in the restaurant industry and could tell you some amazing stories...)
