Forgiveness Calls

Time within a nightmare deep, creeps wickedly through troubled sleep.       Unfortunate those left unaware whilst devils stalk in vast despair. Voices still, embittered words flee, silence bows at Satan’s knee. Knowing well the miscreant's game, forgiveness calls, staking her claim. The nefarious one with woo and lure, wins favor leaving, wanting more. The chastened heart now reticent, waits patiently till night is spent. Bold sunlight through the nightmare breaks. In arrogance the devil shakes his fist of stone in a fit of rage, as darkness flees its' gilded cage. Sweet moments stolen from the grasp of wicked hands in violent clasp, send shivers down the spine of death, while seconds take their final breath.
