Patent Pending

She bottles forgiveness Filed for a patent I suppose Markets with maddening diligence to lost beleaguered souls She prices her precious commodity with sums exorbitantly high knowing well we fools can't afford it but yet will continue to buy Been years now since I lost her favor and from her sweet graces I fell Spent a fortune in pride and persistance but she's damned me to eternal hell My crime of neglect and evasion and fear of facing her wrath led silence to slip like hourglass sand as I slyly avoided her path I ponder this plight I've encountered wonder what high regard should be worth Hesitating to spend I imagine her there exploiting my quandary with mirth
