A Tribute to Diana Princess of Wales A shy young girl of nineteen, first came to our attention Lady Diana Spencer, was the name, we all would mention Cameras clicked throughout the world, as she walked with grace and pride Down Saint Paul's Cathedral aisle, to become Prince Charles's bride Princess Di, soon gave birth, to a royal heir Prince William came into the world, in her happiness we would share A royal tour "Down Under", the people loved this royal lady She earned our deep respect, when she brought along her baby Another son, Prince Harry, made her life complete Now it seemed she had it all, the world lay at her feet Soon the pressures of a public life, in the Royal Family A marriage made in heaven, just wasn't meant to be Prince Charles and Princess Diana, both went their seperate ways Sadness seemed to fill her life, and number all her days The "Queen of Hearts", they named her, for those not as fortunate as she A Smile, A Cuddle, or Gentle Touch, her time and energy On a tragic night in Paris, in August 1997 Princess Di left us all, to be with God in heaven No more will all the cameras, flash on her lovely face She is finally now at peace, in a much happier place Our prayers are for Prince William and Prince Harry, her two sons The world has lost a fine Princess, but they have lost their Mum. |
Additional Notes:
I have noticed that sometimes words in Australia are spelt differently than those in America.
