A dozen roses Single stems Vivid flowers Last for days Yet hold special powers From each stem you will receive 1 rose for affection 1 for luck 1 for hope These roses show you should never give up 1 rose for life 1 for the future 1 for the past These are to make memories last 1 rose for confusion 1 for sorrow 1 for pain These roses should not remain 1 rose to say hello 1 to say good-bye 1 to say good night These will bring tension to your eyes Soon the roses will die Shedding a petal at a time Yet the memories are very much alive Unlike the dozen roses That vanished before your eyes |
