Nana's Song

She was there, perhaps in spirit alone, on the day you entered life... and on the day she left, you too were there in spirit. In between the days and years were consumed  with love and learning~ She asked your favorite color and she bought you your favorite dress~ She pumped blood through your veins and breathed life into your spirit. Your are you because of her. She continues on because you continue walking the path she has paved. Her gifts come to fruition each time you laugh and each time you cry. She taught you  the art of loving and how to share a touch. You are your grandmother's prize. Her purpose in life fulfilled. Now I ask you  in return... Do you know her favorite color and will you clothe her in her favorite dress? Her final exit is near... the grand finale of the play so close... Will you be there to hold her hand as she begins  her new adventure? Will you bow and clap and marvel in her life's work? Will you show her how well she's done in living and will you carry her life in your heart in her absence?
