A Farewell Of Sorts

As I walk this final trail through golden moments of my past like a whirlwind they swiftly glide though some are with dark shadows cast I recall the sunshine, sweet dreams fresh fallen dew the Monarch gracefully floating the first time I kissed you cane pole, at rivers edge faces from so long ago now this creature inside me takes whats left of me I know but I will take something with me when I leave this earthly place the memory of my daughter and my wifes smiling face Though the pain is ever increasing It seems as if brighter days over ride and I know all to soon To so many I can no longer hide I also would like to take time to thank so many fellow poets out there for sharing their lifes adventures they have such wisdom to share.
