'Till Death Do We Meet

Solitude has set upon me once more. As I gently leaf through the pages of the past, I remember a happiness that did not last. The tender words you said to me, Are nothing more than a memory. This room is empty and devoid of you, my wife; A tragic reflection of my life. I touch the earring you left on the chest, It's as cold as my loneliness. The walls whisper your name, This is unfair, I do not like this game. My mind betrays me with your face, And at last I must leave this place. It was you who befriended Death, And it was me that you left. But I am not angry; I forgive you. I pull the trigger to end my misery, And join you for the rest of Eternity.
