A Daughters Lasting Love

I have here before me photographs of you newly born and it cannot compare to you in my arms there you soft sweet, fragile form Each page I turn you seem to quickly age a child of six, to your first date life has set the stage but our distance does not compensate lost years, many tears never to be seen I see you now, a white gown down the aisle begining your dreams you wish to have known me better but fate took you away the cruelty of another imprisoned your heart and led you astray but your will showed resistance your true spirit prevailed you held on and your still the one though in so many ways I failed I kiss you softly as you walk away, a husband at your side somehow I hope you realize with each passing day the love years could never hide.
