Love Of My Little One

The season's in our hearts so dear As the day is shortened by night Three months are left of this year And the weather seems just right. We love cool nights and warm days As fall brings out it's new colors After school my little girl plays Til dark while playing with others. Lessons first, then go out to play Her friends to enjoy with pleasure It's time for a bath to end the day With memories for each to treasure. It's now bedtime ready for a hug From Mother and Father good night! Pull up the blanket just one tug She's tucked with love just right. Get some sleep the day has passed With our thanks we want to give The hugs and kisses come at last Thanking God for freedom we live.
