The Mad Symmetry of Night Not every woman is meant to be your wife even the beautiful ones…. And so I release you Into the mad symmetry of night I’ll sit with you on the shores of Carolina shiver with the wind and miss your ache. When misery is your only home, you love it most And so I release you Into the mad symmetry of night The electric spark of your tongue will nibble my ear in the loneliest beds and in solitude, I will have company. And so I release you Into the mad symmetry of night I will pray to a half moon in church yards and synagogue lots and shout Why? Why? Why? And still I release you Into the mad symmetry of night. Lovers estranged by time and distance circumstantial predestination the folds of love consummated and still I release you Into the mad symmetry of night. II And if God had never let me meet you, it would have been sufficient. Dianu And if God had let me meet you, but never allowed us to talk, it would have been sufficient. Dianu And if God let us talk, but never allowed us to love, it would have been sufficient. Dianu And if God had let us love, but never meant for us to be, it will be sufficient. Di Dianu, Di Dianu, Di Dianu Dianu Dianu |
