Life's Lessons

True lessons learned in life  are one's that touch our heart  Knowing when love should end but not where we should start Some will always be deserving  of true love and not pain  But those who are not worthy  seem to linger and remain  If all they see is darkness  never a glimmer of the light  There is no hope of growing  finding love or taking flight  The heart is so very fragile  feels joy just like regret  Can sing a song of happiness  and break, lest we not forget  But life has many lessons  we must learn by our mistakes  Pray we have faith and hope go on no matter what it takes  When someone reaches out a hand  think long before you choose  If they are selfish and deceitful  it's a life lesson on how to lose
