Step Father You bastardized the semblance of parenthood You're a demoralizing, licentious father figure You invaded my life, stealing my trust With your stained, dirty, amoral soul. I was too little to fight your perversions I carried around the weight of your guilt Sharing in the shame you inflicted Both of us were going to hell. Now I'm a woman, no longer afraid Fighting for that little girl trapped inside Healing my soul from within Savoring the cleansing salvation of dignity. You are my target-the focus of all my hate Pathetic loser, ashamed to chance eye contact So sure you will see the hatred boiling inside of me Your actions have a cost, forgiveness is not free. An apology is the very least you can do For stealing my hope, destroying my youth The years of suffering and harboring the truth For that little heart… so filled with sorrow. |
