Test TUBE Babies My first memory, merely thirteen years ago Hazy around the details, something like a blip Just images on the T.V. ON and ON as I grow The picture becomes clearer and clearer Hidden within the television, a pattern, like a mirror Reflecting our way of life Superficiality is my reality Going to the mall, does this make me look fat? Movies on the weekend silently seeping, leaking into my mind We must look absolutely cute at all times Come on now, fill those spare minutes with frivolous business Gossip, constantly refresh the comic book like banter so our lives seems more meaningful Reminds me of "Clueless" Except... this is life Superficiality is my reality Electricity, static, buzzing in the grottos of my skull Television turning zombies into zombies with a fashion sense All turned into media junkies unable to make judgements of our own Towers standing high and black in the night Beaming lunacy to the audience at home A vacuous horde of intellect taking over the mammals It’s arms like leeches sucking us in Superficiality is my reality God is in the T.V. The T.V. lies God lies? (Maybe) Kill the T.V., blow it up Run Hide Change! Change! Change! Doesn't matter, the disease has become an epidemic The real question is, What character do you play? |
