Just as I Am Many faults are mine to claim one could list them off by name after all i'm just a man living life as best i can just as i am. Failure realizing dreams life's not always as it seems out of reach the master plan disillusioned broken man just as i am failing torch passed to my seed follow not your father's lead challenge life the best you can be you not a humbled man just as i am. |
Additional Notes:
I wrote this poem in the period of my life which, to say the least, was traumatic !!
I won't go into details...suffice it to say that for a length of about three years
the event of which i speak, cast a dark cloud over my whole family & the next four
or five poems i will be submitting will reflect that mood. I can only hope that when
i do submit the poems of which i speak, that you all bear in mind that what you will
be reading is not ME (anymore)... I lashed out at the world with my pen...& at least
that was better than using a "sword". If my Storm at Sea poem stirred some anger in you,
i can only IMAGINE what the poems to follow will do !!!
