Slavery

                                                                                   A fire breaks out a way cross town, red flames light Georgia sky. Black slaves on trains are northward bound, for piece of freedom's pie. Proud warriors once...reduced to slave on friendless foreign soil. So called the home of free & brave, the victor gets the spoils. That's not how it was meant to be not America's original plan. 'Sposed to be a land where all are free, fighting for the rights of man. That thought got lost along the way its a sad tale but its true. Black man has to wait for a better day when he'll get his rightful due. Masters reap the land but plant seeds of hate from their ignorance and greed. And a vengeful crop they just can't escape, for hate grows from hateful seed!! As the years go by & each bad seed's sown comes foreboding harvest moon. To the black man's hate that each year has grown, 'harvest' couldn't come too soon!! And the time grows nigh that he breaks his chains he'll stand tall & proud once more. For the white man's loss is the black man's gain, as he stands at freedom's door. He walks through that which was barred in youth and he's bathed in clear bright light.
