-Life's Circle- She cried as she watched, The train pull away slow; Her love had been drafted, To war he must go. Neither one knew, She carried his son; Stuck in a time, Unwed mothers were shunned. No family to help her, Scared and alone; All she could do, Is pray he'd come home. She knew what it meant, When the car came; She went into shock, Causing birth of the babe. Her heart was breaking, As she cradled her son; One life is lost, Another begun. |
