Transients

In a cardboard house Starving on a hill Problems of the age evading Survival.... a matter of will Warm tummy feeling My love broken in a brown paper bag Giving in to nobody Walking about in rags Happy with poverty No possessions to keep Lining up at the welfare office  with my adopted family, once a week Shivering at night  covered in newspapers   to keep the wind out Knowing the time of sufferers will pass Prowling the streets, satisfied with here In disguise, even form each other Some...cowering in fear Hold out the hat... "Can you spare some change brother?"
