Memories Of Home And Mom

Catfish frying, crab apple pie the scent of tasty morsels fill the air long day at the oil rig drilling mud everywhere Mama has been cleaning, and cooking She puts in ten to twelve hours a day washing clothes, and patching those scratches the kids get along the way afternoon reflections of those pictures from a childhood so long ago constitutional in the starlight lets each memory flow love was a healing factor in the evolution of my early times a simple touch, or kind word would ease my weary mind tough as leather, soft as silk she chiseled our characters well and when ever I'm blue, I think of you just kick back and reflect for a spell.
