The Good Old Days???

Man's a melancholy being. His tendencies all seem to lean, toward his younger glory days. Which brings this question to be raised... Why do our hearts live in the past?? Our mem'ries form a BOGUS mask, with painted smile etched on its face. Forgotten frowns, time's long erased. We tend to filter out the bad... Forgetting past times that were sad. Rememb'ring only skies of blue. No tol'rance for a grayish hue. But we should live for here & now. I'll teach you if you don't know how. It's easy given half a chance. Just take an optimistic stance Commit yourself to days ahead. Time yesterday was 'put to bed.' Forget the unproductive past, obscured by shattered antique glass. Instead gaze into future's mirr'r. Although you'll likely find a tear. It' best to face reality, than cling to days no more to be!

Additional Notes:
Ok readers... i'm learning!!! NOW i know enough to 'spain (Lucy..lol) about my "detours from the norm". I used LOTS of poetic license here... If you still choose to comment on them, that's certainly your perogative, but i thought i would at LEAST inform you that in places like "mem'ries", & "rememb'ring", etc..they were intentional!!! LOL I hope you find SOME redeeming factors regardless !!!
