My Joys

'Tis the month of October With all her leaves array For all to remain sober While Trick-or-Treaters play. By day the sun shines brightly Sharing its warm rays. The glow of evenings quietly Our Harvest Moon displays. Trees are changing colors For autumn's already here. Joys we share with others As wintertime draws near. The leaves slowly falling Like feathers float on air. Ghosts and goblins calling Watch out! You best beware! Little ones sharing laughter There are some who shed tears For spooks that come after Are children's biggest fears. At night when streets are dark That's when the parents shout, Don't go alone into the park Boogeymen are moving about. One October day is for fun Though Witches flood the scene Good luck when this day's done Wishing you Happy Halloween!
