Seeing You Phase To Phase Your soft caressing fingers touch me just right, As a lupine hunger feasts on me each night Swilling my fill of the wondrous night sky Reveling across my dim room, and I wonder why A white luminous smile found me here alone, A light gown glittering with rubies of stone, Shining into my window as I unwind Leaving a bright lodestar drifting far behind The wind whispers to me while in deep thought, About a recessive face that won't be caught By a grey veil of clouds on a jet stream trail, Looming far behind only destined to fail. Sleep is empty so I watch with losing hours, Longing for the silver translucent flowers, Only grey shadows sleep during a full moon, When pallbearer clouds reach their horizon tomb. In twenty eight days I see you phase to phase, Resting in darkness during lingering stays. Like pawnbrokers the dark days lend me my time, Then once more an amber body starts to climb, Such an orange splendor, such a wonderful sight, Bursting with moonbeams, shining into the night. A thievish phase steals for me a vital star And when night turns to day...I wonder where you are. |
