Like Nature, She's My Love

Fall season is in my heart so dear As the day is shortened by night Three months are left of this year And the weather seems just right. Autumn brings many colors to life For Mother Nature shares with all Later on this year can cause us strife The cold wintertime follows fall. The time of the year for childhood joys In the colorful leaves they play Along with the happy girls are boys Together on this beautiful day. School lets out three hours after noon My daughter brings her books off the bus Goes in to study, for it gets dark soon Then it's time to come home with no fuss. I listen to hear what she has to say About friends she calls her pleasure It's time for her bath, to end the day With memories for each to treasure. It's bedtime now, she's ready for a hug From mother and father, good night! Pull up the blanket with one big tug She's tucked in with love just right. Get some sleep, this day has passed Our praise to the Lord we give The hugs and kisses come at last Thanking God for the life we live.
