Would It Matter

If I told you that I loved you would it matter to you? Would you continue to do the things that you do? Would you give me excuses about how you feel? Will there ever come a time..when you are for real? If I knew why I loved you or how that love grew, Then maybe I would not be so drawn to you. Some things I don't question I just know what I know, And one of them is the love that I show. Deep down inside me lies the moment of truth, I really do love you..why do you need proof? The things I am saying are not just lost thoughts The flowers and gifts are not just store bought. They come from the heart traveling swiftly without heed And given to you without malice or need. So just know that I love you and ask nothing more, There is nothing to settle...no ones keeping score. I am happy to say that I have loved and have lost And I would do it all over again at any cost.

Additional Notes:
I wrote this without punctuation and decided to add it in for those of you that have a need for it. I also wrestled with using the word deed in place of need, so critics do your stuff.
