* Wide Awake, Nearly Midnight *

Wide Awake and it's nearly midnight.         I'm thinking back of the day I had.           Did I do enough things right?          Could I have done anything bad?        Wide Awake and it's nearly midnight.       I'm anticipating tomorrow, in my head.      Moving shadows began deceiving my sight.        What's that noise I hear near my bed?         Wide Awake and it's nearly midnight.         More thoughts ramble on, in my mind.       Ideas I don't have when there's daylight.        So strange in nature most of the time.         Wide Awake and it's nearly midnight.       I hear a sound from the realm of nowhere.        I become uneasy with "fight or flight".        Then I realize, there's nothing there.         Wide Awake and it's nearly midnight.       Thoughts are fading and I'm ready to rest.        But, my body, the blood is racing inside     and my heart's still pounding out of my chest.         Wide Awake and it's nearly midnight.        I said "that's it!, enough is enough"!       No more with worries over such a plight.      I'm going out because it's been too tough.         Still Awake and it's after midnight.      I've become peacefully secured, in my bed.        No more of haunting thoughts of fright!   I'm sleepy & will sweetly be sleeping soon instead.      Finally I'm rested and glad To see daylight.        Why Oh Why I ask, did this happen to me?       I'm kind of tired But, I'm feeling alright!         My mind's clear over the cruel anxiety!

Additional Notes:
My true account of bad nights because of Depression. I got informed about what my un- comfortableness was & how to change it! if anyone ever feels this, you simply think only the word "Calm" and before you know it, daylight appears & all is well! Thank God! :o) The "commas" I feel are necessary for the purpose of good grammar. If you know anyone, who is wrestling with depression/anxiety...GET THEM HELP!!! "Awake" was capitalized because it is part of my title, I think it shows better.
