America

I was born in america, a great and proud nation, founded on the notion of equal creation, for all men and women who seek what is fair, in a land that has plenty of bounty to share. Yet all of the things that brought us to be, have been torn apart by violence and greed. little by little, each day we see, the loss of our freedom, our forefathers seed. For whom was this freedom created? on whom could this freedom rely? was it Indians wiped out on American plains? or the black man brought here and bound into chains. was it the poor man degraded, kept poor and disgraced? for whom was this freedom in trust to be placed? I've watched as I've grown, seen this freedom abused, taken for granted, and sorely ill-used. Prayers have been banned where children once prayed, and our flag is insulted by the way it's displayed. Families are torn by Government rules, and corrections once given, are now thought of as cruel, so children run rampant, and no longer have pride, and parents can do nothing, with their hands being tied. Our country is sold to any and all takers, who would like nothing more than to ultimately break her. still I love this country to which I was born, but all I can do is watch her and mourn, for I know she is dying with each breaking dawn, and I pray God might save her before she is gone.
