The Vote

When you go down to the polls to vote, think for a minute, and then take note, of all you've heard in the past few months, the lashing, and bashing, the groans, and the grunts. Of two grown men with promises rote, who'll say anything just to get your vote. One will promise to lower your taxes, the other to help the old people out, the truth of the matter is, if they get the wrong house, neither of them will have any clout. They say we the people by voting make choice, but the truth is, the Media and Electorate are voice. and the man in the middle will silently grin, and pass his votes to the one he wants in. And you'll find out when it comes to the wires, that Politicians, are all just damn liars.

Additional Notes:
The word rote, is something said in repetition from memory without giving thought or attention to the meaning.
