No One Left To Hear Me

As I wonder through this lonely world I am stricken by the fear of emptiness I long for freedom, yet I fear to be free I search for happiness, yet I find myself running from love My thoughts are filled with impossible dreams As my heart longs for the things I can not have.   As I struggle through another long and tiring day I find myself still looking for that one way out That one hint of hope I so desperately need. Am I going crazy or is there still hope for me Down beneanth this blanket of darkness That I have covered myself in? These are the words I spoke yesterday Before I was laid to rest beneath this cold and moist ground I spoke them only to myself Because there was no one around to hear me. Once I had it all Everyone around me heard my words But somewhere along the way I looked up and they had vanished.
