THE DAY SHE CAME

The Day She Came…. There were no knocks Could not have kept her out with dead bolts locks No bells that rang But into this world she came, and boy what a bang. As silent as a stranger She stepped into our lives as sudden as danger. As graceful as a dancer She consumed our hearts like a beautiful cancer. First the head, then came one arm And one foot later she was here so warm No movement was there she gave As still as a dark black cave. Then she opened her eyes as mighty as she might Not knowing we had been awake all night. First a small cry, then one big scream Feeling the room our wonderful dream. Taylor she was named, To show all the glory and the fame. A beautiful beginning it was… “The Day She Came…”
