A Forever Kiss

I close my eyes and I'm drifting,    to a place where a gentle breeze consumes me. A moment suspended in time,    my heartbeat quickens with anticipation Feathery soft lips pressing lightly,    but knowingly against mine. I surrender, my senses are aroused.   I am aware of the sounds, far away bells   sweetly chime. A refreshing smell of mint permeates my soul,   and I am awaken from a forever kiss.

Additional Notes:
This poem was written when I awoke from a dream. My sweetheart died three weeks ago in a car accident and I have been praying that I can see him one last time. This poem came after a wonderful dream of him.
