Night Crawler

She stands on the sidewalk of her former home looking at the windows now only empty of curtains, and full of dark, while bombs crash all around, that she seems not to notice. Her ex-lover walks up to her and places a dozen silver rings into her palm, and his lips smile, while laughter mixing with jibberish, tumbles out of his mouth, spilling onto the sidewalk at her feet. Suddenly, with nothing more than a blink or a hiccup, she finds herself at home brushing her hair  before going to bed, with rings flashing on every finger- her auburn strands, soft and radiant, in the bathroom mirror. Admiration vanishes when she sees  something crawling beneath her hair, which turns into many somethings, writhing at the roots. Her breath catches in her throat, and her eyes fill up with tears, as she combs frantically at her scalp, until the teeth are full of centipedes and worms, squirming and struggling to get away. She plucks them out with a tissue, unable to touch  this disgusting part of herself, while screaming- 'How can this be ?', and tossing them one by one, into the toilet.

Additional Notes:
I know some of you are wondering if I am on drugs or something (smile)but this is really a dream I had a couple of weeks ago that I could not get out of my head. I looked this dream up in my daughters book of dreams and was intrigued when I looked under the heading 'Worms'.It stated that if a young woman dreams of worms crawling on her,her aspirations will always tend to the material. But,if she kills or throws them off, she will shake loose from the material lethargy and seek to live in morality and spirituality.
