Enchanted Night

Memories forever etched in my mind People, places and events I treasure Always there waiting for me to rewind When the world around me holds no pleasure A precious memory you gave to me On an enchanted night in September I close my eyes; your handsome face I see Your warm smile and kind eyes I remember The room was filled with music and chatter You recited a sonnet by Shakespeare At that time, nothing else seemed to matter No clamor, only your voice could I hear New beginning or mere charmed evening past It matters not; for my memory shall last
