Bipolar Trilogy #1 - This You All Should Know

With no blame to cast, with no stone to throw, Without fear of loss, without hope of gain, This I put to you, this that I now know, This that is cold truth, this that stops my feign: For a lifetime now I have skulked and moved Through secret, dark, and anguished, painful lands. On dreadful nightmare carny rides I've proved With anger's knives that ghouls live without hands. I've bedded down on Everests of joy Only to wake in Death Valleys of fear. I've carved and whittled myself as decoy To myself so myself you would not near. With these words do what you will, just see: So it was and so it be, this is me.

Additional Notes:
Best read in context with #2 and #3 of the Bipolar Trilogy. This sonnet is simply one of personal recognition. I am bipolar and suffered with this condition for about 25 years before it was finally diagnosed and I began getting some help with it. The diagnosis and help has made incredible changes in my life and literally changed me into different person... almost all for the better.
