The Great Wolf As the great wolf howls when the moons in sight and the stars feed to the darkness light, visions come to sleeping men who when awake prophesy by them. Believing that the dreams tell all they try to explain what they recall. But they don't see what the spirit sees or feel it's presence in every breeze, of every day of every year or they would hide themselves in fear. But the great wolf knows when he howls at night of all the things there in his sight. The bear, the deer, the wolverine and other things that he has seen. He knows of things that he should fear especially when man is near. For many a friend caught in a snare could testify that men don't care. But the wolf tells all in baleful tune when he howls at night up at the moon. |
