Patience

Patience Is a word often intended To accentuate a passage of well-meant advice It stands alone through the giver’s message But does not have enough substance To punctuate its role Patience Is not an acquisition that arrives upon demand Nor is it gained through waiting for it, Or exploring its ambiguous definition It comes in it’s own time Deciding it’s own course of destiny Patience  Waits with us through our many trials Allowing us to find it the only way we can Each time we conquer a challenge It rewards us, Strengthening its legacy of wisdom I cannot offer you words that are empty For my lessons cannot be your strengthening But I can tell you that I have survived each trial And have learned the meaning of patience Long after the outcome had been determined  Through every hard time, you will gather knowledge And from that will come wisdom You will also find the meaning of patience It was the invisible guardian helping you along You had it, you just did not realize at the time That it was your strengthening……
