STATE OF THE STATE

A rancid rendition of rotten relay, A chaotic condition of continual delay, A sunken selection of stocks falling down, A flatulent fruition of family renown, A putrid portion of political prowess Dividing our country into deriding duress, A befuddling bungling of butterfly ballots, A familiar fumbling of famous and callous, But a glimpse of light overpowers it all Of glorious grace and Godly recall Of the birth of a Saviour in Bethlehem town, Of the angels singing favor, stars shining down, This heavenly holy time of the year Never overshadowed by darkness and fear.

Additional Notes:
I always like to capitalize words relating to God, such as Godly.
