Winter is Coming

Leaves…  Rustling, bustling,  hustling, scurrying,  dancing, whirling,  curling, flying...  Deep amber, scarlet red...  bright yellow and orange...  Fallen leaves and the wild, wild winds...  Whispers…  winter, snow covered winter is coming again.  The dancing shadows...  in the cool October night...  broken only by the pale blue moon light…  revealing the damp foggy mist’s ghostly flight…  upward, upward in the middle...  of the swamp’s eerie light.  The distant squawking of wild...  geese echos, far from sight...  as they fly across the moonlit night.  The North wind blows...  a whisper through the barren trees...                                                                  Winter... cold, cold winter is coming soon.  The silence in the Autumn air...  is broken by the call of a melancholy loon…  swimming all alone in the pale Autumn moon.  The warmth of Summer is gone now…  as The cold North wind whispers again;  Winter is coming…  soon.  On a distant fence post...  a tiny wren calls…  Whennn, whennn???
