The Day He'll Come

When the pen's of the mighty poet's stop and the novelist's write no more, the singer's stop their singing and the tides all rush to shore. When the critic's no longer criticize and adventurer's no more roam, that's the day when Christ shall come to take his children home. When the Sun and the Moon have darkened and will no more give off light, When the star's that for so long twinkled fade into perilous flight. When friends stop being friendly and sinners will no more atone, Christ will come that very day to take his children home. That is the day when he shall come so if your a sinner still remember that Christ prayed for all to do his fathers will. He didn't die upon the cross that we should be alone, he prays so hard that we'll all be among those he'll be taking home.
